Worry.

Hey everyone, Allen again-
Worrying is the worst thing in the world to me 99% of the time. There’s a couple reasons for that too. First reason is it’s technically a sin, because it is a display of a lack of trust in God and his unfailing love. The second I want to display since words are hard to find for it... I saw a picture showing lines that go from one answer to another. The phrase first says “Is there something you’re worried about?” Which is followed by two answers at the end of lines saying “yes” and “no.” If you go to no there, it then says “Then don’t worry about it.” But if you say yes then it goes to “Can you do something about it?” And then another yes/no. If you say yes or no, they both lead to “then don’t worry about it.” Why though? Because if you have the ability to do something, there’s no need to worry about it being done. And if you can’t do it, then you shouldn’t be worried anyways because nothing you can do will affect it. But that’s the part we struggle with a lot as far as logic. You don’t just not worry about your child on a death bed right, especially when you aren’t a doctor who can save her? Even then, we are still asked to display trust, which makes us feel even worse that we couldn’t trust. Also, worry makes us indecisive...I myself have worried about things I can’t control so much that I go back on my own words time after time because I want to be right but I worry about if I’m wrong instead of trusting God with my thoughts and listening for him. These things are clear points that prove my hatred for worry. Fortunately, Jesus tells us we don’t need to worry about anything, because God knows what we need and he knows our very thoughts. We are also told that we can come to the throne full of confidence in our time of need...I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t seem like a sign that we need to worry to me.
