Hi ya'll! Oh my, it has been a long time since I have talked to you guys. Life has definitely been busy, busy, busy. The new things in my life are I started college for the second semester at William Jessup University, and it is softball season. Homework is piling up, but I have managed to crawl out of the pile of books on my desk.

The topic I am going to discuss today is loving your enemies. This is a very tricky thing to do for a lot of people, but do you just know that one person that shows kindness to everyone no matter if they have wronged that person or not? It is amazing to see someone show such kindness and grace like Jesus has done countless of times.

In 1 John 4:7, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God." This verse exemplifies the sons and daughters we need to be when it comes to loving our enemies. We tend to forget that we are all children of Christ, and we all have our good and bad days. Some people have more bad days then others. Love comes from God, and is the exact definition of who God is because without his unfailing and gracious love, who would of died on the cross for all of our sins? Who would forgive our bad days? When I approach a situation where holding my tongue and my attitude starts to peep through, Mathew 7:12 pops into my mind. It states, " In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

Most have heard this saying of treating others the way you would want to be treated since kindergarten. The rule of thumb makes us not only better Christians, but better people for this corrupt world. Who knows one action can make a ripple or a big wave in someone's day or even outlook on life.

Today, show kindness to someone who you do not necessarily like or someone who gets on your nerves. Trust me it is going to feel good in the long run.

XOXO

Joslyn
