Fitting In

Hello, my fellow readers! It has definitely been awhile since I have posted on here, and for that I am so sorry. The holiday season has been so crazy, leaving my mind in a million different places. I am so glad to be back. I promise I will be writing more.
Well today, I am going to talk about fitting in wether it is fitting in at school, work, your own individuality, and specifically in your relationship with God. This year I started my first year of college, and I was so psyched for it. Being able to be on my own in LA, playing college softball, and getting new friends. Sadly, my first semester of college took a whirl spin. I did not feel like I fitted in anywhere especially with my new teammates which was a big deal since we spend 99% of our time together. I talked to God, hoping a change will come soon, yet it got worse. I left college in the middle of the semester after an incident that left me feeling attacked and feeling alone. I wanted this experience to be the best, yet it left me wondering where I fit in.
Just like in our life, we can feel like this in our relationship with God, but instead, we need to realize that our relationship with God is where we belong most of all. Right before writing this, the song Where I Belong by Building 429 came on. It was like God was telling me in my heart to write about this. The song focuses on one feeling trapped and not at home, but with God that is where home is. Despite the mess that was going on in my life during that time, I knew in my relationship with God that was my answers to all my problems and feelings of being on the outside.
I encourage you to think about moments where you did not feel like you fitted in, yet your relationship with God was your anchor, or maybe your relationship with God was the sole reason why you felt like you weren't fitting in, how did you fix it or how can you fix it now?
XOXO
